If you have tried traditional meditation and experienced frustration and self judgment, we would love to invite you to consider Active Meditations at the Vitalist Institute.
It is said that Active Meditations were created for the Western mind. Those from the West tend to have so much activity in their minds that traditional meditation can be a difficult place to begin. Active Meditations are high-energy, body-based meditations meant to move past our rational minds and into our inner stillness. This meditation through movement offers an opportunity to simply let go of all past and future thoughts to align with the present.
After a 30-45 minute meditation, participants are able to sit in the quietness of their mind and body and rest into their inner stillness. Each Active Meditation will conclude with live music to deepen the experience. By discharging mental and physical energy, the space of emptiness and openness is easier to find and cultivate. These meditations deeply clear the energetic and emotional systems to create a calm, but energized feeling. Music and directions for each class will be shared so participants can continue the meditations at home.
